Thank you for taking the time to visit the Susan Epstein for Goleta School Board 2016 website. I am currently the President of the Goleta School Board and am running for re-election on the November ballot.

I'm proud that our district reduced class sizes, expanded music, art, technology, fitness, and science programs, enacted systems to ensure financial stability and growth, and eliminated pesticides in 120 acres of playing fields during my service on the school board.

We raised test scores dramatically and retained small class sizes during challenging economic times. With strong financial management, we returned $1.5 million to taxpayers through refinancing our 1996 bond. We also provided laptops to every teacher and Chromebooks to every student in grades 3-6.

PRIORITIES: I will continue to promote fiscal responsibility to ensure that all children in our schools receive a high-quality education and have an opportunity to excel. As your school board member, I will continue to listen, encourage diverse and meaningful participation, ask questions, respect others, and conduct business with honesty, efficiency, and integrity.

I am honored that all my colleagues on the Goleta School Board and the Santa Barbara School Board have endorsed my re-election.
